Female, Born | in Nebraska on ?/?/1946 |
Born in Nebraska (probably Tekemah) about 1946, of Albert Benjamin COLEMAN and Mattie Louise (TAYLOR) COLEMAN.
When her parents divorced, Auretta ("Peaches") and her brother Raynold went with their mother, who married Howard Randall ROSS on June 24, 1950. Since Howard already had 4 children (Henry Randall, Roy Edward, Ralph James, and Peggy Alice), that made a family of eight.
Howard, her new father, was a bricklayer by trade, and the family moved around a lot during their early years – throughout Kansas and parts of Nebraska. They finally settled back in Buffalo, Wyoming about 1954. Peaches has remained there every since, marrying a hometown man, Jack Joseph PEHRINGER.
Peaches was a nurse, and worked many years at the Wyoming Veterans Home, at the location that was Fort McKinney in the 1870's. She loved taking care of the veterans, and was greatly loved in return. She retired in 2008.
Peaches and Jack had the following children:
After her family, Peaches' next first love was the couple's quartz crystal mine in the Big Horn Mountains above Buffalo, Wyoming.
