Born in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, of Perrin ROSS and Marcy (OTIS) ROSS. She was one of six children, and was probably born between 1760-1765.

She married Guy WELLS, who was Justice of the Sixth District for Pennsylvania in 1790.  They had the following children:

• Chester, Mercy, Levi, Sophia, Guy Jr.;
• William Sterling, who married Sophia BARD.  They had a daughter, Ann Louise WELLS, who married Charles Lane RICE;
• Elizabeth, who married Israel BUCK.  They had a son, Silas BUCK, who married Harriet ACKLEY.  Silas and Harriet had a daughter Sarah BUCK, who married George SMITH.  Sarah and George had a daughter Georgia M. SMITH;
• Hannah, who married Ashel GRAVES.  They had a daughter, Elizabeth Wells, who married Dr. Joseph Mayhew HARDING.  Elizabeth and Joseph had a daughter Lenora HARDING, who married Mark LOWD;
• Perrin, who married Emily PECK.  They had a son, Frank S. WELLS, who married Martha E. DEANS.  Frank and Martha had a daughter Florence U. WELLS, who married a man named BEARDSLEE.
