The following is quoted from "The History of Luzerne Co." by Bradsby: "Jason, the youngest of his father's children, has always confined himself to agricultural pursuits, and is now a practical farmer, living on the old homestead on which his grandfather (William) settled. He is a thorough business man of pure principles and fine ideas, and has filled various offices with credit. On January 13, 1880, he married Miss Carrie M. Barlew, the accomplished daughter of David and Phoebe Barlew. Of this union, one child, Augusta B. was born August 1, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Jason Ross are consistent and active members of the M.E. Church of Orange."
