Male, Born | in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania on ?/?/1848 |
Born about 1848, in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, of Hiram ROSS and Mary (KEECH) ROSS. George was apparently the youngest boy in the family. His brothers were Henry William, Jesse Hiram, Casper Steven, and Daniel A.; his sisters were Jennie and Amanda M.
In 1862, George moved west with his family to Linn County, Iowa, near Cedar Rapids. The family stayed in Iowa until 1870, when George, his parents, and three brothers moved to Nebraska. A considerable amount of details concerning the family are described under accounts of George's father and brothers.
When his father died in 1876, the widowed mover lived with George. They remained on George's homestead near Red Cloud, Nebraska, until 1880, when they returned to Iowa and settled in Sioux County.
It is unknown if George was married or had any children.
