Born March 6, 1964, of Henry Randall ROSS and Ursula Meta (ELBERT) ROSS, at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Upon graduating from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas, with a B.S. in Biology, Mike received an ROTC commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Although he was a medical logistician in the Medical Service Corps, his passion was in the practice of medicine. Since the Army had demonstrated no interest in furthering his medical education, Mike requested release from active duty. He put himself through the Master’s program at University of Texas in Austin, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, and has had a most successful career.
On December 3, 1994, Mike married to Sharon Gail LAIFER at Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio), Texas.
In 2009, Mike was serving his fourth year at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
