Born June 26, 1866, in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, of Henry A. ROSS and Sarah V. (STEVENS) ROSS. She had one brother, George H., who died as an infant.
Nellie married Charles F. JONES, who, in 1871 was clerk in the store of Ross & Stevens, and in 1887 was admitted as a third partner. Mr. and Mrs. JONES were reported as consistent members of the Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge at Camptown. In politics, he was a Republican, was collector of the taxes in Pike township for two years, and town clerk for five years.
